New products for spring

Spring 2012
The first few months of 2012 have been very busy ones. Jack is continuing to
make use of social media to promote Topgate Farm and to expand our contacts in
the art and retail world. And while he's learning about Facebook and Twitter,
Mary's continuing to work in print media and product development.

New Products:  One of the images from the "Critters" series really struck a chord with a lot
of people so we decided to create a line of note cards using this image.  If
you check out the shop page you will see the new "Note Cards" product image. We
love these little heifers and we're thinking of calling this line the "Cow
Collection".  Just a few note cards have been created so far but others will be
viewable on the site as they come through production.

We kind of like the idea of old fashioned note cards - thank you notes, birhday
cards, invitations - when you receive one, it makes you feel that someone is
thinking about you and you're not just part of someone's distribution list.
It really is a thoughtful gesture.  Have a look and let us know what you think - Note Cards.

Detective work:  We are still investigating custom print production and think we have it
narrowed down to a few options. We know that one size doesn't fit all but to
offer too many choices creates a nightmare of costs related to mounting and
framing.  To frame or not to frame - the answer lies in the shipping costs - so
more on custom prints next time.
Exhibits:  If you find yourself visiting Victoria or Calgary over the summer, here are some links to upcoming and ongoing events that may be of interest:
Charlie Russell and the first Calgary Stampede at the Glenbow Museum in Calgary

Emily Carr:  On the edge of nowhere at the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria
March has definitely come in like a lion around here but next week is spring
and the daffodils are just about blooming.  Our next bit of news will be online in early fall- expect a big announcement!  Don't you just love that . . . . ?!

Here's to the end of a blustery winter!  KBO
